How buying works here
This website is a catalogue, not a checkout. There is no cart and no account. Every piece is sold on its own listing, and the sale happens there, not here.
Nothing on this site is an offer. A piece is shown here before it goes up for sale. A piece with no listing behind it cannot be bought, and the page for it says so.
A “Buy on eBay” button opens that piece’s eBay listing in a new tab. eBay’s terms, eBay’s buyer protection, and the shipping and return terms stated on that listing govern the sale.
No card numbers are typed on this site. This site never sees or stores a payment card.
What you are buying
Most pieces are second-hand. They are vintage, antique, or estate pieces, which means they have been owned and used before you. They are not new. They may show wear consistent with their age, and the listing describes that wear as well as I can.
Read the listing before you buy. The listing is the description of record. It carries the measurements, the metal, the condition, the photographs, and the shipping and return terms.
Condition words mean what the About page says they mean. Mint, Excellent, Very good, and Good are my own four terms, defined there, not an industry grading scale. The condition words are defined on the About page.
Metal claims rest on marks. When a listing says a piece is sterling, it means I found a sterling mark on it. When I cannot verify a mark, the listing says “silver-tone,” “unmarked,” or “not tested as silver.” I do not assay metal and I do not represent that any piece has been laboratory tested.
Age claims rest on evidence. When a listing gives an era, it is my judgment based on construction, marks, and style. Where I am guessing, the listing says so.
Price
The price is the price shown on the listing at the time you buy it. Prices are not shown on this site while a piece is unlisted. If a price ever appears here and a price appears on the listing, the listing’s price controls — it is the offer.
Privacy
What this site collects and what I do with it is in the privacy policy.
Disclaimers and limits
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under Kansas law, California law, or federal law that cannot be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The version in effect is the one posted on this page when you buy, and the “last updated” date at the top will change when it does.
